By accessing or using Written ("the Service"), including our mobile application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Not transfer or share your account with others

You retain ownership of all content you create and share on Written, including handwritten page images, extracted text, and profile information ("Your Content"). By posting content on the Service, you grant Written a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the right to share it. You agree not to post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Written requires that all handwritten pages be captured live using the in-app camera. This is a core feature designed to ensure the authenticity and provenance of all content shared on the platform. You agree not to circumvent, manipulate, or interfere with this requirement.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim affiliation with any person or entity
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written consent

Written offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's App Store settings.

Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's refund policies.

The Service uses third-party providers to deliver certain features, including optical character recognition (OCR) for converting handwritten pages to digital text. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your content may be processed by these providers solely for the purpose of delivering the requested functionality. We select providers that maintain appropriate data security standards.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or its users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. OCR text extraction is provided as a convenience and may not always be fully accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Written and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
